125-ton Canyon Ferry Bridge Crane Rehabilitation

This project included removing and replacing all wiring, control equipment, and motors for the main and auxiliary hoists, trolley, and bridge. Variable frequency drive (VFD) controls were furnished and installed for all hoists, trolleys, and bridge drives. A new cross-bridge cable festoon system for the trolley and a radio control system compatible with the cab control console were also installed.

• Provided a non-destructive examination of bridge crane structural components.
• Removed and replaced all wiring including trolley conductor and collector system.
• Removed and replaced all control equipment from crane including control cabinet enclosures.
• Removed and replaced motors for main and auxiliary hoists, trolley, and bridge.
• Furnished and installed variable frequency drive (VFD) controls for all hoists, trolleys, and bridge drives.
• Installed new cross-bridge cable festoon system for trolley.
• Installed radio control system including the wireless control stations that is compatible with the cab control console.
• Drained, cleaned and lubricated bridge crane components.
• Performed load tests on both main and auxiliary hoists.
• Provided operation and maintenance training onsite for powerplant crane operators.
• Inspected and certified lifting devices.
• Performed load tests on both main and auxiliary hoists.
