Featured Project
Comprehensive 250-ton bridge crane rehab for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at RS Kerr Powerhouse in Keota, OK.
Sievert Crane & Hoist partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to complete a full rehabilitation of a 250-ton bridge crane at the RS Kerr Powerhouse in Keota, Oklahoma. Our team began with a non-destructive examination of the crane’s structural components to ensure safety and reliability. From there, we executed extensive upgrades, including replacing wire ropes, inspecting and replacing all sheaves, and designing, fabricating, and shop-testing rebuilt hoist gear reducers.
Additional project highlights included installing and calibrating load cells for each hoist, upgrading the electrification system, and replacing the operator cab with a new, modern design. To extend long-term performance, our crew installed new grease lines, provided asbestos and lead abatement services, and designed and installed a maintenance jib equipped with a chain hoist. The result was a fully modernized crane system prepared to meet demanding operational requirements.
